Valentines...

I'm still single and lovin it...So I guess Imma dedicate dis day to my girls. Every cuzin and friend who make my day.

I look for childhood memories
but the memory of you seems better to me
Remembering seasons past
When you gave birth to laughs
I pray for longevity on this sturdy ship we ride

let storms susbside and good times tide
I yearn for days we'll walk side by side
a boastful stride and humbled pride
I'll hold on to these dreams at night
till then and now this is all I'll write.

Fakeness-ness!

I present fakeness like that of a president
I remain hesitant, though truth is evident

Overwhelmed by shame.

TRIAGE.

The act of triage is the ultimate humanitarian nightmare. Racing against time with limited resources, relief workers make split-second decisions: who gets treatment; who gets food; who lives; who dies. This impossible dilemma understandably haunts humanitarians like Dr. James Orbinski, who accepted the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as their president, and was a field doctor during the Somali famine and the Rwandan genocide, among other catastrophes.

Having seen the best and worst of humanitarian assistance and of humanity itself, Orbinski embarks on his most difficult mission to date-writing a deeply personal and controversial book that struggles to make sense of it all.

"The film, in a literal sense, shows the difference one person can make."

Tinariwen

Tinariwen is a group made up of Tuareg people. The Tuareg people are descendants of the Berbers, a group of Saharan nomads. The band formed in Muammar al-Qaddafi's rebel camps in 1982, and have since switched from guns to guitars, bringing their music around the world. Their songs mostly cover the subject of independence for their people from the government of Mali.

Simply the Best!

"When I realised I had sense, I was on my mother's knee in church, so I was brought up with God being the cornerstone of my life, and my understanding of Islam is that if you are a good Christian then you are a Muslim. This view some would not agree with, however this is my view. So long as you believe in doing good and not promoting badness then you are God's man or woman".

- Chris Eubank -

Lost Ones

"Now, now how come your talk turn cold
Gained the whole world for the price of your soul
Tryin to grab hold of what you cant control
Now youre all floss, what a sight to behold
Wisdom is better than silver and gold
I was hopeless now Im on hope road
Every man want to act like hes exempt
When him need to get down on his knees and repent
Cant slick talk on the day of judgement
Your movements similar to a serpent
Tried to play straight, how your whole style bent?
Consequence is no coincidence
Hypocrites always want to play innocent
Always want to take it to the full out extent
Always want to make it seem like good intent
Never want to face it when its time for punishment...''

Mohammed Ali

The Art of Mohammed Ali has been taken across the globe and described as challenging the oft-heard term 'clash of civilisations.' With his unique urban-spiritual art, Mohammed has successfully managed to connect people of different communities through his art, with the themes of his artwork exploring the issues that face contemporary, multicultural societies.

"Most people who know my work and have followed it over the past years will know that my murals and canvas have always been focussed on concepts which are universally appreciated by people of all faith. Concepts such as peace, knowledge, patience, unity and brotherhood are often the prefered themes, positive virtues which I feel need to be shared and appreciated by all, something we, unfortunately, do not speak enough about, and virtues which are fading away from our modern societies. Movin' On...

Ok so...I figured, I've been spewing alota negativity lately but hey can ya blame a sista?! Faith is our greatest gift and sometimes it takes a while to remember to realise that fact. Allah gave us death but before that He blessed us with life. If there's a reason to die, there's a reason to live.

''Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things with which to renew humanity.''
-Some Buddhist guy-

For all the poor souls that went before us, we can't live life selfishly anymore (& I mean quit complainin')...we just can't live in vain. & yeah, I hate to see a ''positive'' side to all that's going on in the world today...but that's the only way forward right?! Gotta stop watchin the news all-together (maybe I'm just uber-sensitive). Bring back the hippie years...

Peash!

''Ah, verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!"

"Or do you think that you shall enter the Garden (of Bliss) without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They encountered suffering and adversity and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith who were with him cried: ‘When (will come) the help of Allah? Ah, verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!"
